Getting to Punta Allen by car or take a bus to Punta Allen

If you want to rent a car and drive down on your own, you have to travel south to Tulum (approx. one and a half our). At the first set of traffic lights coming into Tulum, on the right there is a Hertz Car Rental sign and the Supermarket San Francisco turn left at these lights, towards the beaches of Tulum and drive to the end of this road.

Follow the road until it turns to the right, traveling southbound until you enter the large arch of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. This is the entrance to the Reserve, where you have to pay an entrance fee of 21 Pesos (2 USD) per person.

Continue along this road about 45 km, over the Boca Paila bridge until you arrive the village of Punta Allen. Follow our signs for two blocks and you will see your Hotel. It is impossible to get lost, because there is only one road to getting to Punta Allen.

If you want to take a bus to Punta Allen, there is leaving just one bus to Punta Allen daily at the main taxi station in Tulum at 2pm. The same bus to Tulum is leaving the next day at 5am.
